Jay throws himself into the ring - 27k Skyrace

North Face Adventure Team runner Jay on his way to Hong Kong for the MSIG Lantau50 Skyrace.

Representing Thailand will be Jantaraboon Kiangchaipaiphana otherwise known as "Jay" who has been a force on the adventure scene for many years and winning numerous Action Asia mountain bike events and placing 2nd in a past Lantau 2 Peaks event in a pheonomal 2hr 26min time after leading most of the race, will be keen to show his skills in the 27km Skyrace course (MSIG Lantau50) at the Asian Skyrunning Championship in Hong Kong Dec 4.

What inspires you to train so hard?
Jay: I love to race…. like pushing the limits of human endurance, but another reason is to explore more our wonderful planet.

Any role models who helped you grow and take risks?

Jay: Ryan S. Blair – Director The North Face Adventure Team is an important person to lead me become an adventure sports athlete.  He has supported me to no limit in mountain biking and he also brought me to many other disciplines in adventure racing (e.g. Kayak, trail running…etc) and he totally changed my life since we met in 2010.

Any popular results in past year you are proud of?

Jay:
-       Cameco Cowboy Tough 2016 —my first expedition race and nice to see we were competitive and just as strong as all the top teams from North America
-       Wulong International Mountain Quest 2016 -- we held the Yellow Jersey and led the race after 2 days…and on podium one day. It was incredible.

Make sure you are on the course to watch Jay come flying by you and yell out "Thailand' on the 27k course Dec 4 2016 at the MSIG Lantau50 event.

Jay
