Its all about commitment - Action Asia Kayak n Run in association with BWET

Tim Vandecasteele from Team LG! is looking forward to the Action Asia Kayak n Run Series – Tai Tam Bay in association with BWET next Saturday!

1. How many times have you participated in our races before? Is it your first time to join Kayak n Run – Tai Tam Bay?

I participated in few of Action Asia races last year which were challenging races in Lantau! But this will be our first Kayak n Run race and we are very much looking forward to it. 

2. What got you into running? How trail running changed your life?

Just a way to get away sometimes and get fitter. Trail running in Hong Kong is perfect to get away from the busy city and get to see some beautiful views too!

3. How to balance the daily work and pre-race training?    

It’s about commitment. Schedule your training and stick to them but most importantly have fun whilst doing them! 

4. How do you encourage your family, friends or other people to join trail running?

Typically showing them a few pictures of my races and hope that suffices.

5. What are your expectations for this race?

Discovering this new format and just having as much fun as possible. A great day out that’s mostly what we’re looking forward too!

6. For water sports like kayaking, what kind of swim shorts would you prefer to wear?

For the race, I’m still thinking some kinds of compression shorts that would dry quicker. And I would like to try some stylish ones for water sports.
