 Lantau, Hong Kong Trail hike and run options

Course 比賽路線

 

  • 5 km - 950 elevation gain (Summit is 934m but short little downhill along way)
  • 5公里 – 950米攀升高度 (山頂為934米但沿途包含短程下坡)

 

 

 

 

  • Course marking - Yellow A5 size signs and bright pink ribbons
  • 賽事標記及指示 – 黃色A4指示牌 及 沿途營光粉紅絲帶標記

 

  • Start - Tong Fuk Beach, South Lantau Island, Hong Kong

9:30am start. (please make plans to arrive early if unfamiliar as takes around 30min by bus from Tung Chung or Mui Wo)

  • 起點 - 塘福泳灘, 南大嶼山, 香港

早上9:30起步 (如不太熟悉起點位置,請計劃盡早到達起點,乘坐由東涌出發巴士約需30分鐘)

 

  • Finish - Summit of Lantau Peak

Race organizer will have mass start on beach as plenty of room to get by people on the way up.

  • 終點 - 鳳凰山山頂

賽事總監將安排比賽於塘福沙灘集體出發,有足夠空間給予參加者爬升。

 

  • Awards - Pak Kung Au

Pak Kung Au BBQ where drinks, food and your luggage will be brought from start to this area. Suggest if cold running with lighweight windproof jacket around waist and put on at summit when finished for walk down to awards.

  • 頒獎禮 - 伯公坳

於伯公坳燒烤區舉行,將提供飲品及食品予參加者,行李將由起點運送到該處。如天氣寒冷,建議參加者帶備輕便風褸,並於終點山頂穿上步行至頒獎禮位置。

 

  • Luggage

Your bags will be put in a van and taken to the awards location at Pak Kung Au. See map. Pak Kung is very convenient to get back to Tung Chung (MTR/bus hub) or Mui Wo (for ferry to HK Island) with buses regular every 15 minutes and the odd taxi going by to flag down.

  • 行李

行李將放於大會客貸車,並運往頒獎禮地點伯公坳位置。參加者可於伯公坳乘坐巴士(定期班次約15分鐘)或的士前往東涌(轉乘港鐵或巴士)或梅窩(轉乘渡輪往香港島)。

 

  • Course Design:

Designed by Michael Maddess (Race Director & Course Designer) who's organized over 190 events with Action Asia Events and one of the most experienced Race Directors in Asia. Michael Maddess an active trail runner, originally from Vancouver, Canada who was Race Director of the World Police Fire Games Triathlon in Canada before moving to Asia, has worked on over 17 Action Asia Challenges across Asia including Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, 3 Vietnam adventure races and 3 day stage marathon races, 1 Laos 100k ultra event, regional MSIG AA 50 series, 2 Himalayan Mtn Bike races, over 25 Action SPRINT HK adventure races, 8 Action Asia Off Road HK bike races, worked/competed in numerous other road races/triathlons including completing 3 Ironman triathlons (10hrs 52min), 1st runner-up in 100km trailwalker in 11hrs 16min (record for HK resident) 3x in 13 hrs 25 min, 12hrs 44min, 12hrs 39min, 3rd in HK100 in 12hrs 30min, winner of Sabah 3 day adv race 3x and 8th overall Gobi 250km race. He's also coached dragonboat, soccer and baseball teams, climbed to 15,000+ft Annapurna Basecamp, made it up to 5000m in Sichuan within 24hrs of getting off plane and jumps off bridges in Nepal for fun. If he's not outside designing a course, he's not having fun.
