Debbie Yin Pui Ling gets ready for Bonaqua Lifeproof Action Sprint

Yin Pui Ling Debbie, a local runner, is going to challenge herself in the Bonaqua LIFEPROOF Action SPRINT event this Sunday. “I fairly enjoy running in a good scenery. I did a Lantau race before and this is my first time to do short distance trail running race. I prefer short distance, simple and not really steep races because I’m finding them easier to do compared to long distance trail running at my age. I have done trail running for around three years. The first race was 100km which I spent more than thirty hours to complete with my friends. I have been in the Hysan Healthy Hike & Run for three years and the coming race on March as well. I enjoy challenging myself while running on the mountain. I would certainly enjoy it more if the weather is good on the race day,” said Yin Pui Ling Debbie.

即將參加本週日淺水灣站比賽的香港本地選手Yim Pui Ling Debbie分享了她以往參加比賽的經驗。她說:「我堅持參加希慎健康遠足及跑步賽有三年了,也報名了今年三月份的比賽,去年參加了大嶼山賽事。還記得我參加的第一次比賽是一場100公里的越野比賽,我和朋友們花了三十多個小時才完成它。相信這次的越野賽也能讓我享受運動,挑戰自己!希望比賽當天能天公作美, 讓我更好的享受比賽的過程。」

What is your favorite trail running course and distance?

I fairly enjoy running in a good scenery. I did Lantau 50 last year and this is my first time to do short distance trail running race. I prefer short distance, simple and not really steep races because I’m aged to do long trail running now.

有最喜比賽和距?

我很喜歡跑有美景的山。我去年參加了大嶼山賽事,這是我今年第一次參加短程越野跑。我喜歡難度較低、短距離、不太陡峭的越野跑比賽,因為我已經不年輕啦。

 Did you do any pre-race training?

I don’t have specific pre-race training, but I take yoga program twice a week and do running one to two times a week. It is better for me to have a quality sleep to climbing stairs instead of taking lift to go back home for cooling down my body as well.

有做任何的賽前訓練嗎?

我沒有特定的賽前訓練,但我通常一周都會練習瑜伽兩次,另外每週也會跑步一至兩次。為了保證睡眠質量,我每次跑完步都會爬樓梯回家,好讓身體慢慢調節。

 When did you start to run on trails? Is it your first time to join the race?

你是什麼時候開始越野比賽? 這是你第一次參加越野賽?

我參加了越野比賽已經有三年左右。第一次比賽是一場100公里的越野比賽,我和朋友們花了三十多個小時才完成它。我參加希慎健康遠足及跑步賽有三年了,亦已報了在三月舉行的比賽。十分期待這次的短跑賽,讓我挑戰自己。希望比賽當天能天公作美, 讓我享受整個比賽。
