SPRINT training kicks off for Chow & Lo - 2016

“I have already registered for the whole SPRINT series as no swimming required this year. I know many loved the river part, but I am just not that into swimming so this year’s course is perfect for me,” said Fion Chow, a local female participant who is looking forward to the Bonaqua LIFEPROOF Action SPRINT series.

  • How will you train for the race?

I tend to hit the gym three to four times a week to train for the race. Each time I would either run half an hour on the treadmill or do some weight exercises for 45 minutes.

  • 你是如何為比賽做準備?

在比賽前, 我通常每星期都會做3-4次的健身訓練。每次都只在跑步機上練跑半小時或者進行45分鐘的重量訓練。

Why did you choose SPRINT series?

I have already registered for the whole SPRINT series as no swimming required this year. I know many loved the river part, but I am just not that into swimming. I also haven’t joined any long distance races since 2014 MSIG Lantau 50 & HK50 so I’m trying to get back to the game by signing up for some short distance races like SPRINT first. Hopefully I would be able to finish the race before the cut off time. I always keep my eyes on Action Asia Events’ website for race updates.

  • 為什麼你會參加Bonaqua LIFEPROOF動感亞洲越野跑步?

我知道有很多人喜歡游泳環節,但是我並不 喜歡游泳,所以今年的比賽取消了游泳環節, 反而更有利於我的發揮,我更一早報了整個短跑系列賽。加上以前參加過2014 MSIG HK 50 和2014 MSIG Lantau 50, 希望能藉此回覆以往的狀態, 再次挑戰長途的越野賽事! 願我能夠在比賽當天, 於指定時間內順利完賽。

我也會經常留意動感亞洲活動的網站, 看看有什麼感興趣的賽事!

 

“I did a recce run already. I’m also in a training program and run at least twice a week,” said Tsun Hei Lo, a young trail runner on how to prepare for Repulse Bay leg of the Bonaqua LIFEPROOF Action SPRINT on 14th of February.

  • Did you do any pre-race training?

I don’t have any specific pre-race training, but I followed the course map and ran through the whole course already and really enjoyed the course. Also, I take a running program and do running two to four times a week based on my coach’s instructions.

  • 有做任何的賽前訓練嗎?

我並沒有特定的賽前訓練, 但是我已經依照賽事地圖提前跑完了整個比賽路線。另外, 我也會聽取教練的意見, 每星期練跑3-4次。

  • When did you start to run on trails? Is it your first time to join the race?

I have done trail running for almost four years. I competed in both long and short distance races. The longest one is a 100km race. I’m excited about the coming SPRINT series and already registered for the next one - Bonaqua LIFEPROOF Action SPRINT Discovery Bay. I would certainly enjoy it more if the weather is great on the race day but nobody can control that and it wont bother me.

  • 你是什麼時候開始越野比賽? 這是你第一次參加越野賽?

我參加了越野比賽接近四年, 包括長距離或者短距離的賽事, 最長的比賽是100公里。十分前期待這次的短跑賽, 我也報了同系列的第二場賽事 - Bonaqua LIFEPROOF動感亞洲越野跑步比賽 – 愉景灣站。希望比賽當天能天公作美, 讓我好好盡情地享受整個比賽。
