Roadrunner Lim recommends adding stair/hill training for MSIG Singapore 50

Roadrunner Lim recommends adding stair/hill training for MSIG Singapore AA 50

MSIG Singapore Action Asia 50 - Pre-race interview with local F1 runner Lim

1. What got you into Trail Running? How long have you been doing it?
Trail running gives me a chance to work out a different set of muscles while enjoying the surroundings. It is a combination of exploring nature and enjoying the rush of adrenaline in the wild that excites me. I started running 5 years back.

2. Why would you join 2018 MSIG Singapore Action Asia 50?
Action Asia Events plans and manages the Action Asia series of races and I am interested to join this challenge knowing it will be a well-organized event.

3. September is one of the best months to do the trail running race, how would you prepare for the race and balance the daily work and pre-race training?
I do a fair bit of road running but am aware that agility and stamina are more important for trail running. To be better prepared for trail running, I will add some stairs climbing and hill training in my training. I need to be more careful to prevent injury or accident. Generally, I put aside 4 days a week for training.

4. What is your goal for the race?
Meet up with good running friends and enjoy the race together.

5. How do you encourage your family, friends or other people to join trail running?
Action speaks louder than words and lead by example

Thank you for sharing and your tips. We hope you will have a great performance at 2018 MSIG Singapore Action Asia 50.
